SMITH, Manda Ruth

SMITH, Manda Ruth - Manda passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 19th, 2005 after a brave two-year fight against a brain tumour. She was born July 16th, 1981 in Vancouver. Manda is survived by her loving parents Michael and Betsy, her sister Sydney, her grandparents Colin and Alison, many uncles, aunts, cousins and by her many good friends. Manda was a graduate of Sentinel Secondary School (1999) and the University of Victoria (2003). She enjoyed life and enriched the lives of many others with her wit and sense of humour. She was a bright, caring and wonderful young woman just beginning life's journey. She will be sorely missed by us all.

Our thanks to Al Musella of the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumour Research of New York, the doctors and nurses of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Dr. Paul Klimo and his assistant Regina Paolucci, Dr. Michael Davidson and the wonderful nurses of 7 West at Lions Gate Hospital.

All are welcome to attend a service for Manda, which will be held at West Vancouver United Church, 2060 Esquimalt Ave, West Vancouver, on Thursday April 28th, 2005 at 2 pm. A reception will follow at Capilano Golf Club, 420 Southborough Drive, West Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, please visit www.mandasmith.blogspot.com for information about Manda's favourite charities.

-We love you Manny Ruth.
